The project of Regionál center for autist ion Žiline (RCA) was established as an initiation of parents, pedagogues and experts interested in issue of autism. The main target of this project is to provide complex care for people with special-pedagogical needs with the autism diagnosis and to their families. RCA began its function in 2006, when gates of the first Private elementary school for students with autism, which provides education for children (the only of its kind in Slovakia), opened.

Rotary club Žilina has supported Regional centre for autists in Žilina since 2002.
