When we organized the first Ball from initiative of Vladislav Tamáši in 2000, we gave ourselves several resolves for its fulfillment and orientation. We wished it to be a Ball with comfortable atmosphere, noble, but not snobbish, rich in attendance and it should also have beneficial character. The attendance at this Ball is exceptional also because of everybody who attends this event, is invited by Rotarians.

After almost 10 years we can objectively evaluate, that our aim was fulfilled. The Ball became a nice and prestigious tradition in Žilina. It is attended by many personalities from Žilina, among others also district governor Petr Pajas, ex-minister of foreign affairs SR Eduard Kukan, president of the Žilina self-governing region Juraj Blanár and Mayor of Žilina Ivan Harman.

We are glad that our Ball is attended also by our friends from Rotary club Martin, Rotary clubs Ostrava and Liptovský Mikuláš, Rotaract club Žilina and Soroptimistky from Žilina.

Regular attendants are also social workers and disabled youth from Jašidielňa, Stružielka and Autistic school.

Since the first year, the Ball has been moderated by our friend and honored member of the Rotary club Michal Dočolomanský. At our beneficial Ball performed violinist and Rotarian Peter Michalica, Zdena Studenková, Sisa Sklovská, Peter Niňaj and Robo Puškár as Brothers, also Justin Peter Topoľský with Janka Daňová, Berco Balogh, Nela Pocisková and Katarína Hasprová.

Until the fourth ball, all of the artists performed beneficially- without any claim for reward for what we are very thankful. Also, part of the price of every ticket of the attendants goes to beneficial purposes.

Even in spite of that to some people this appeared as unbelievable- to get financial resources from the Ball for beneficial purposes, we can happily say, that we were successul and until now, resources from every Ball have been donated to Jašidielňa, Stružielka and since 2007 also to Autistic school.

In February 2009 already the 8th beneficial Ball of Rotary club Žilina took place.
