At the beginning of the 80's Rotary began planning the most ambitious program in its history - to vaccinate all children against polio to wash polio worldwide.

The ambitious promise to reinvigorate the global medical community. Within three years, Rotarians has collected more than twice the amount of pledged funds. Total pay 247 million U.S. dollars. While it comes to global eradication of polio and certification of  eradication  Rotary contribute an amount which exceeds 600 million U.S. dollars.
