Rotary Club Žilina

ROTARY CLUB Žilina was established on the 15th of March in 1993. Today, it has 25 members, who are meeting regularly to consolidate the friendship and to negotiate about their activities and goals, focused on providing services and help.

The club was accepted in Rotary International on the 14th of June 1996, however, the official ceremony of the acceptance took place on the 26th October 1996 in Dom umenia Fatra in Žilina, when the Rotary International Charter was handed to president of the club, František Veselý. The identification number of the club in Rotary International is 31.723.

Rotary Club Žilina was established as the fifth Slovak Rotary Club. The sponsor club at the establishment was Rotary Club Piešťany. Rotary club is a part of the Czecho-Slovak Rotary District 2240.

Scope of the Club
Rotary Club Žilina is located in Žilina. Area of efficiency of the Club is: Žilina, Čadca, Bytča, Kysucké Nové Mesto, Považská Bystrica and Púchov.

Main activities
Žilina Rotay Club is one of the best and most active Clubs in Czecho-Slovak district. Rotary club Žilina is oriented on help to disabled and on Youth service. It is characterized by long-term projects.

All the activities and projects are realized by Rotarians voluntarily and without any claim for reward. Vice-versa, they support them with their own resources.
